Download Energy, the name makes me excited already.
Let's see...
Packaging:
This can contains 0.25L, which doesn't really stand out from the rest, but I don't mind.
The graphics contain of a black background with some yellow details.
There are two yellow bands; one on the top and one on the bottom.
Both of those bands contain the drinks' slogan 'Upload your mind, download your energy.'
In the middle of the can, there's another yellow area with edges that attempt a ripped-open effect.
That effect doesn't really work in my opinion, an oval or regular band probably would have looked better.
The yellow area in the middle contains the 'Download Energy' logo, which basically consists of a dynamic embossed 'D' , and 'Download Energy' written in an italic font.
Last but not least: the background is not entirely black; it contains several silver-colored ones and zeroes that represent binary counting, a nice touch on this can.
Slogan:
As mentioned in the packaging, the slogan for Download Energy is 'Upload your mind, download your energy.'
I quite like the slogan, it's inventive and suits the name.
Good job, Download.
Taste:
I poured this one into a glass, only to notice that this is once again a caramel-colored drink, so nothing special here.
The smell, however, is something different.
Though the basic smell is the same, but you can really notice a strong caffeine smell.
There's not that much carbonation, when you pour it into a glass it will hiss for a second or two, but after that there are only few bubbles left.
When I tasted this drink I also noticed the influence of the caffeine, just as with the smell, but asides from that, the drink is just a (to say it in CaffeinPowers' terms) Red Bull clone.
It's not a bad one though, it's certainly drinkable, but not recommended if you want something special.
Kick:
This energy drink contains 32 milligrams of caffeine on 100mL, the exact same amount as the Energy Slammers, so the impression of extra added caffeine was just an illusion created by the smell and taste.
After I drank it the energy started to kick in slowly.
It's constant so not jittery, but the energy will not last that long: only about an hour.
Price/Quality Ratio:
Normally you'll pay about 79 cents for this drink, which is a pretty avarage price.
It's suitable for an avarage drink like this; not too good, but not too bad either.
