I picked up this vodka-energy mix at a local liquor store called Gall & Gall.
Though there isn't a specific mention that it contains energy drink on the can, the drink still contains caffeine and taurine, so it's definately worth a review on our site.
Packaging:
This drink comes in a 0.25L can, which is quite a standard size.
The can is mostly silver and it has red details and text on it.
On the middle there's the typical Eristoff label, which contains the words 'ERISTOFF RED' and 'PREMIUM VODKA BASED SPIRIT.'
Below the Eristoff label, there's another red label that contains the word 'FLASH'.
The can is finished with some nice silver details; there are some silver lines around the Eristoff Red label, and there's the typical Eristoff doghead on top of the 'FLASH' label.
Those silver details are colored in a slightly darker shade of silver than the can body has, creating some kind of watermark effect.
Cool can, I'm a big fan of simple effectivity and this can is a good example of how it's supposed to be done.
Slogan:
There's no slogan on this can.
Let's move on to the next subject.
Taste:
Before I started drinking I followed the usual routine.
I poured in into a glass and took a good look and smell.
The drinks color is a light shade of red (a lighter shade of red than the color of the labels on the can), there's a minimum amount of carbonation present, because there are only few bubbles and there's a very little foam topping.
It smells like vodka, real vodka, though maybe less strong.
The tasted reminded me of a Toppertje, which is basically the same thing.
A Toppertje is also a mix of vodka and energy drink, but it distinguishes itself from Eristoff Red because it's a shot (some variant of a Vluggertje) and contains 10 percent alcohol.
So this drink reminded me of a Toppertje, but it's not as strong, in fact, it doesn't even come close.
The energy drink is hardly noticable in this mix, but that's probably because it's just a small amount.
Still, I like the drink.
It's refreshing, but still gives that nice alcohol feeling (the little burn in the throat, that is).
Kick:
This drink doesn't give any kick at all.
But I'll forgive Eristoff for that; the amount of caffeine and taurine is minimal.
Price/Quality Ratio:
I paid €1.49 for this drink.
In my eyes that is a little too much.
I know it's a good drink and all, but it's still just a 0.25L can.
