Energy Drink X light

There is not a obvious name for this drink. Only 'Energy Drink' and 'Light' in a big 'X'-like thing. So I made Energy Drink X light of it. If I'm wrong, and someone knows the official name, please tell us by using the guestbook.

The can has a overall silver-baby blue look. It looks a little cheap, but the drink was cheap. So that's a good match, right?

The drink itself is less sour and less sweet and Red Bull. It is less carbonated as most energydrinks as well, but there is some CO2. The overall taste is lemon-like.

My conclusion is that this drink is just a Red Bull clone, only less sweet, less sour and less carbonated. Female friendly is the perfect word probably.

Vluggertje

Vluggertje, a nice name with a double meaning (in dutch) for this little shot (translate Vluggertje to English and you'll get something like Quickie).

It's a mix of energy drink and vodka, and it contains 14.9% alcohol.
They're usually packed in six packs, which usually cost about €4.50
The drink has a nice shade of blue, which really gives the alcoholic mix impression.
The're are two stickers on this small bottles, the front sticker displays a roadrunner (I guess because of all the things speed-related to this drink; it's gone in one single sip, and it contains energy drink), and the sticker on the back shows the ingredients.
The drink itself is pretty good, you can barely taste the energy drink because of the alchol, but I don't mind.
You really feel it burn in your throat while you drink the entire bottle in one sip.
I really like these drinks, the only downside is the price, but I'll be definately get them when they're in discount again!

Barts Energie

Barts Energie, from Bakker Bart. The can is pink with some active people on it. Pretty gay imo. Hopefully the drink itself is better.
Well, it wasn't. It was a little more sour as a regular Red Bull, but that's it. It did cost me €2, for a Red Bull clone and that's too much for such a drink.

The can looks gay, really gay, I think it might be the color that does the trick (hmm... maybe). There is a reason for that: Bakker Bart uses Pink in the logo (but the color is still gay).
The drink and it's price didn't correspond well with eachother, €2 is too much for such a standard energy drink.

Bad Dog

Bad Dog, the name is cool and so is the can. The can is silver, like most Energydrinks, and has a badass blue-yellow pitbull on it. The drink itself tastes good, a little sweeter than the avarage drink (commonly known as 'Red Bull clone'), but it works.

Korean Ginseng drink

Ginseng, one of the ingredients of a good energy drink. And this one is a pure ginseng drink, so buzz should be pretty good. BUT when I searched the internet for reviews made by other fanatics, I knew it was not worth drinking. Bad taste, bad buzz were the most common ratings.

Well, without any motivation I opened the can, tasted, and agreed with the reviews I found.

It has a very strong organic smell. The taste is wierd, like ginseng with a little sugar added. It's no Red Bull clone for sure. I doubt if we may even call it an energy drink, and I'm not going to call it an energy any more. The buzz is crap, same for the taste. The only thing making me a little happier, is the Asian look of the can...

I bought those two at a new local shop that sells Asian import products (a toko). I was pretty surprised when I saw they sold a small 8.4 fl.oz can and a 5.07 fl.oz glass bottle. I couldn't make up my mind wich to choose, so I bought both, together with a M-150 bottle and a Wonderland Ginseng drink.

When I got home, I couldn't wait, so I opened the small, green can. The smell was great, like a clear lemon. When I tasted it, I reacted like: 'woo, great flavor!', and it sure is. A very strong lemon drink comes into your mouth, just awesome! With that, it's non-carbonated, so the taste isn't ruined with bubbles. It's no Red Bull clone for sure! Probably one of the best you can get. I couldn'tt wait to open the glass bottle, but I had to, I had 4 energy drinks that day, and that was enough.

After about half an hour I felt the buzz kicking in. This is the first 'real' energy drink I've drunk, so I was pretty surprised it really worked.

Climax herbal power drink

The first Climax I could get my hands on was this 250ml silver can. It has a very simple design, but that makes it attractive too. The lowest of details you could think of. Just silver with the logo, name and slogan.

I bought it at the local hospital, which suprised me pretty much. I didn't know they sold this stuff. But since I know it is a herbal-energy, it doesn't surprise me at all . It has to be 'healthy' after all.

Now about the drink itself: it has the classic caramel-yellow colour. Its flavor is like a herbal Red Bull, a Red Bull-green tea flavor. Which isn't bad at all. It's also very low carbonated, what is great for the taste.

It was a good drink, especially for a herbal one. It's better as Steaz for example, which is a herbal (and fair-trade) energy. It's just the best herbal one I've tasted so far, only I doubt I'll buy it once more at my hospital, because it cost me about $3 (€2,50) wich is in my opinion way too much for such a small can.

Blue Bastard

'Awfully cool taste'. The small slogan what is on the can. It's something else as 'Serve chilled', great!

The can has a lovely pitbull on it, in silver colour with blue lines and white spikes. The can itself is black with grey, so not 100% black. The whole can has a blue/silver feeling, wich contrasts nice with the yellow 'blue bastard' text.

The tast on the other hand isn't that great. Another Red Bull clone... Still, I'm happy, It doesn't taste bad for the €0,45 I paid for it. In fact, when I get get those, I'll buy 24 of them. As a little variation between Bullit, Rodeo and the bigger Monsters and Rockstars.

B-52

B-52, the first energy-bottle I saw in my life. So I bought it right away.

5 Minutes later I knew I had to deal with another Red Bull clone. Besides that, it is cool to have an energy bottle between your cans. Further it ain't special.

Kamikaze

I got this 275ML can from the Czech Republic. If everything goes right, I'll have one with English text soon, because I don't understand what's on it, and they booth look great (they are not the same).
The can itself has a very easy design. But i still like it. The major reason for that is that my nickname on most forums and in most games is Kamikaze. That's also the major reason why I bought this one. This is one of the cans which made me collect energy drinks.
The drink itself has a very special taste. It is not a Red Bull clone. It has a taste what reminds me of cinnamon.
The can has a price on the internet that is about $2-$3, but it is worth it. At least if you want to enjoy a good energydrink, and not another cheap Red Bull clone.

Big Shock!

Oke, let's start with this energydrink to review.

I got it when I was on a trip with my school to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It was in a local supermarket, the Pennymarket. A friend and I bought 1 tray, 24 cans, of it. Just because we never saw 500ML cans before. It did cost about €33, but we didn't care.

The can itself is very attractive in my opinion, because it is yellow with black and a little red accent.

The energydrink itself is of a Red-bull like colour. The drink tastes very sweet, which I wasn't used to. The only downside I can call is that there are no bubbles, and that some of you may think it is a little to sweet.
