Vigor Power Extra

Price: €1,-
Contains: 0,25L

OK, it's time to review Vigor, a can I picked up at a local import store.

Packaging:
The cans has various shades of orange.
At the top the orange is very light and coming close to white, and coming closer to the bottom the orange becomes slightly darker using a fading effect.
At the center there's the Vigor logo, which is basically 'Vigor' in a hadwritten font, and underneath there's the 'Power Extra', written in a more futuristic font.
Both the logo as the 'Power' are using a normal to dark shade of blue.
'Extra' is written in white.
I think the can is a bit neutral, so I'll give it three stars out of five.

Slogan:
The slogan for this drink is 'I'm ready', which is placed on the top of the can for eight times.
It pretty much reminds me of a certain yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea...
The slogan suggests that you should get a real kick of the drink that makes you ready for everything.
Well, actually the drinks' kick doesn't live up to the slogan, but I'll give it three stars anyway.

Taste:
When I opened the can, the standard energy drink smell entered my nostrils.
I poured some in a glass, and found out that the drink is caramel-coloured, but a slighty lighter shade than the caramel colour I got used to.
I could hardly see bubbles, and when I took a sip I noticed that the drink really is low-carbonated.
Great! I always hate it when the bubbles ruin the taste of a good drink.
Speaking of the taste, this drink is pretty neutral, it doesn't taste bad at all, but it also isn't the best energy drink I've ever had.
The lack of bubbles makes up a lot though, so I'll give four stars for the taste.

Kick:
As I said, the kick doesn't live up to the slogan.
The effect of this drink (if the're even is any) is barely noticeable.
I'll give 2 stars for kick.

Price/Quality Ratio:
I paid 1 euro for this drink, which is a pretty neutral price.
The drink is pretty neutral as well, so let's give it a neutral rating: three stars.

Recap:
Packaging: ★★★
Slogan: ★★★★
Taste: ★★★★
Kick: ★★
Price/Quality Ratio: ★★★

Avarage: ★★★
The drink is avarage, just avarage.

Liquid Strenght Power Up

One of the cans I bought on my trip to Winterswijk, the Liquid Strenght Power Up.
According to the can it's a Red Bull clone, because the can claims they used the 'original formula'. Wich is from Lipovitan, world's oldest energydrink, the 'daddy' of Red Bull.

I drank this one from a glass, and I found a wonderful surprise. The drink is transparent. So not the famous caramel-colour this time.

When I opened the can, it smelled like Red Bull. And it tastes like Red Bull, but it has a odd coffee-like flavor, just very light.
The aftertaste is not the best ever. It's an odd sticky taste.
It's a Red Bull clone for sure, but little different, with a bad aftertaste.

Re-Review by Caffeinepower:
There are several things I've got to say. First of all, the taste is more like 7-up than like Red Bull, as I told you before. This makes it a drink totally different from Red Bull, wich means this isn't a Red Bull clone.

Climax herbal power drink

Climax herbal power drink,
The first Climax I could get my hands on was this 250ml silver can. It has a very simple design, but that makes it attractive too. The lowest of details you could think of. Just silver with the logo, name and slogan.
I bought it at the local hospital, which suprised me pretty much. I didn't know they sold this stuff. But since I know it is a herbal-energy, it doesn't surprise me at all . It has to be 'healthy' after all.
Now about the drink itself: it has the classic caramel-yellow colour. Its flavor is like a herbal Red Bull, a Red Bull-green tea flavor. Which isn't bad at all. It's also very low carbonated, what is great for the taste.
It was a good drink, especially for a herbal one. It's better as Steaz for example, which is a herbal (and fair-trade) energy. It's just the best herbal one I've tasted so far, only I doubt I'll buy it once more at my hospital, because it cost me about $3 (€2,50) wich is in my opinion way too much for such a small can.

Golden Power

Price: €0,30
Contains: 0,25L

An energy drink I got from the local Aldi supermarket. It is a cheap drink, it costs only €0,29!
Your expectations are probably like 'low price, low quality'. But this one is better. Okay, it's still a Red Bull clone, like most European energy drinks, but this is a good one, especially for the price you pay for it.
It has the classic caramel-colour. At first this drink tastes like a classic Red Bull. You'll taste the difference when you're enjoying it. Just sit back and relax from this low-budget drink.
